What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and was founded by Gary Craig in 1995. EFT is a self help technique that anyone can learn and can be easily taught to anyone. It is designed to free you of emotional blockages that can affect your daily life. It has been scientifically tested and the practice of EFT is growing rapidly. True EFT practitioners teach their clients to be self sufficient in the technique, basically working their way out of a job or client. We want our clients to experience emotional freedom.

Dr. Dawson Church tells us, "Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping is a simple process, proven in over 100 clinical trials. These show that EFT reduces stress, anxiety, depression and pain. Neuroscience studies demonstrate that EFT rapidly calms the brain’s emotional centers, and takes your body out of fight-flight mode. EFT has you stimulate 13 acupressure points with your fingertips while focusing your mind on stressful events. This re-trains your body to respond with calm, rather than stress, to negative experiences."

Why tap on pressure points/meridians? Because our body is an energy system. Negative emotions disrupt the body's energy system. This negative emotion can be from a past injury, hurt, or trauma. Many times these negative emotions are suppressed and our bodies become blocked. Focusing on the event/trauma and tapping through the points helps to release and remove the blockage, freeing the body to function again. Reducing stress and its effects on our body.

EFT is a valuable self-help tool to manage a variety of problems or issues. It is simple and painless yet offers the ability to be emotionally free. EFT has been used to help veterans suffering from PTSD, children with trauma or emotional issues, and on everyday problems experienced by people of every race and color. Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, states to, "try it on everything." When in doubt, tap.
