Sweet Slaw

About the Recipe

This sweet slaw is great as a side dish or just a treat with bread (preferably a high fiber bread).

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage

  • 1/2 cup sugar or your desired sugar substitute. I use Splenda or Stevia (adjust per instructions)

  • 1/4 cup white

    vinegar

  • 3/4 cup low fat or no fat mayo

  • 1/3 cup fat free evaporated milk

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper if desired

  • shredded carrots if desired

Preparation

Step 1


chop cabbage to desired texture. Add shredded carrots if desired.



Step 2


Combine sugar/sugar substitute, vinegar, low fat mayo, fat free evaporated milk, salt, and pepper and mix well.



Step 3


Pour mixture over slaw and mix well.



Step 4


Place slaw and mixture in fridge for at least 2 hours. The longer the better. Stir every couple of hours.
